Nick Lund of Maine Audubon presents “Maine’s Spring Birds” in Belfast

BELFAST — Thursday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m., Nick Lund, of Maine Audubon, will give a presentation on “Maine’s Spring Birds.” The program will be offered in person in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library and via Zoom.

Millions of birds from hundreds of different species flock into Maine each spring, and it can be an overwhelming experience for bird watchers, the Belfast Free Library said in a news release. In this presentation, Nick Lund will explain everything about why and how bird migration takes place in the spring and which species you can expect.

Nick Lund is Maine Audubon’s Advocacy and Outreach Manager, as well as author of the American Birding Association book Field Guide to the Birds of Maine.
